August 2011 has brought a series of significant snow storms, and more powder is on the way to finish up the month. After last week's one meter snowfall in the mountains near Santiago, many resorts reported their most visited weekend ever. The record business is well-deserved, after a lackluster 2010 season snowfall, and a slow start in June and early-July of this year. The snow was just that good.
More resorts than ever are reporting daily conditions on their Web sites, and we have all the links. In addition, you'll find updated weather forecasts. Also, while you're there be sure to check out the Web cams many resorts are offering. El Colorado and Las Leñas even have multiple cams.
